The Blue Line Show says “Farewell!”
Well folks, time has run its course. The Blue Line Show was an experiment to get hockey related sports news from our area onto the airways for local listeners. By that result alone the show was a success! In addition, the Blue Line Show was noticed and respected by local station programmers, Rochester area establishments, hockey pundits across the web, former Amerks stars, and even some well known NHL names. By that account, the Blue Line Show has exceeded all we could have hoped for. The original agreement with ESPN Radio 950 AM was to broadcast the show until June 12th, which we did.
Although the opportunity for us to return next year in this same format exists, there has been no formal agreement made yet for that to happen. We want to thank all our sponsors for believing in us, and all our fans for tuning in and helping make a success of our first year. We especially want to thank those guests who came on the show and contributed their hockey knowledge, insight, and prestige to the show; we could not have done it without your help.
Please do check back here from time to time for updates about if and when the show will be back on the air for next season. In the meantime, you can follow Matt over at the Business of Sports website The Biz Of Hockey. We also suggest checking out our good friends at PuckProspectus and KuklasKorner.
You can continue to access the rest of the site including complete recording of past shows and interviews on the audio page, and you can also view all the old posts by clicking on the corresponding month in the archive section of the sidebar.
